XMNR: The PS Vita gets a little love from retailers this week as two are offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of the handheld and this does include the bundles. There are also some deals on PS Vita games including discounts on Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Soul Sacrifice at Best Buy plus a buy 2, get 1 free sale at Target. The other systems and games are not left out though as the Xbox 360 Kinect bundle gets a $50 discount, Borderlands 2 is discounted to $29.99 and LEGO City Undercover has $10 knocked off its regular price among other deals.

"Sonys Vita is still crying for that game to signal a rebirth. The Vita hasn't hit its stride and Sony bizarrely hasn't gone into panic mode yet, something Nintendo did when the 3DS was lacking momentum after its release, pumping out quality games to get people interested in the system. This is something Sony needs to do. Sure, some games are good on the Vita, and one of them, Persona 4 Golden, is one of the best I have ever played...but its an enhanced port, which isn't quite as amazing as having a high-quality, original game for the Vita." Glitch Cat - When it comes down to it, Soul Sacrifice is a great game, full of fun combat, loads of replay value, and some of the best multiplayer Ive seen in a handheld console. While it does have a couple of issues here and there, like idiotic A.I. and repetitive missions, its a game thatll keep players coming back for more and more, and then some.

Its a dim metaphor of a game, but it is also its greatest strength. While Soul Sacrifice is by no means the killer app the Vita deserves, it is still one of 2013s most unique games of the year.
